SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 927

	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pleasure 
in congratulating Joy Elizabeth Denton of Angleton on her high 
school graduation on June 7, 2003; and
	WHEREAS, Joy has been patiently courageous in the homeschool
educational choice all twelve years; and
	WHEREAS, Joy has demonstrated her determination to 
accomplish the goals she set for herself and has fulfilled all 
the requirements for a high school diploma; and
	WHEREAS, Joy has maintained an A average throughout her 
high school classes and courses taken at Brazosport College; and
	WHEREAS, By developing physical strength and fitness 
through yoga classes, she has set a lifetime standard for 
herself; and
	WHEREAS, Joy has learned leadership and mentoring skills 
during her two years as Boatswain of the Sea Explorer Post in 
Lake Jackson; and
	WHEREAS, Having successfully faced many obstacles 
challenging young people today, Joy now embarks on a lifetime 
adventure for which she is well prepared and which holds 
countless exciting opportunities for her; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 
78th Legislature, hereby commend Joy Elizabeth Denton for her 
superior accomplishments and extend best wishes to her for future 
success in all her endeavors; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 
this exemplary young Texan as an expression of the admiration and 
high regard of the Texas Senate.
