SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 933
WHEREAS, The Jacksonville High School science team
performed brilliantly at the University Interscholastic League
competition in Austin and won the coveted state title; and
WHEREAS, Team members are seniors Josh Kupke and
Micah Bateman and juniors Jacob Schulenberger and Chris Clark;
providing guidance and support to these bright students are
coaches Jan Gowin and Harris Durrett; and
WHEREAS, Demonstrating an impressive knowledge of biology,
physics, and chemistry, these outstanding students have achieved
a noteworthy measure of success, and their victory at the state
contest is a source of pride for their school and the community;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
78th Legislature, hereby congratulate the members of the
Jacksonville High School science team and their coaches on an
impressive win at the University Interscholastic League state
competition and extend to them best wishes for continued success
and happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the science team members and coaches as an
expression of high regard by the Texas Senate.
