SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 936

	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to 
recognize the Coppell High School Marching Band on the occasion 
of its selection to perform in the Saint Patrick's Day Parade in 
Dublin, Ireland, in 2004; and

	WHEREAS, The Coppell High School Band has excelled in 
numerous local, regional, and national events and competitions; 
the band has held a Texas state championship title and has 
performed in the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California;
and

	WHEREAS, The community of Coppell is working together to 
provide the support and financial means necessary to make the 
trip to Ireland possible for these talented young people; and

	WHEREAS, Members of the Coppell High School Marching Band 
are a source of tremendous pride for the citizens of Coppell and 
the students, faculty, and staff of Coppell High School; now, 
therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
78th Legislature, hereby commend the Coppell High School 
Marching Band members for their outstanding accomplishments
and proclaim the band the Official Texas State Band for the 2004 
Saint Patrick's Day Parade in Dublin, Ireland; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared as an 
expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
