SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 973

	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to 
recognize Texas Impact on the special occasion of the organization's
30th anniversary; and

	WHEREAS, Texas Impact is a social action group that is 
committed to work in the legislative process to promote freedom, 
justice, and economic opportunity for all people; and

	WHEREAS, Members of the organization maintain that all 
Texas children have the right to quality and affordable health 
care, adequate and equal public education, and the basic goods 
and services they need for health and happiness; and

	WHEREAS, The organization expresses the belief that the 
domain of scriptural justice includes economic justice, and that 
the state must maintain an effective and fair revenue system; and

	WHEREAS, The group seeks just and fair treatment in the 
justice system and works to preserve the state's natural 
resources and prevent the degradation of its air, land, and 
water; and

	WHEREAS, Texas Impact provides an excellent service to
the State of Texas, its citizens, and its public officials, by 
providing information on significant issues and by working for 
equality and justice for all; now, therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
78th Legislature, hereby congratulate Texas Impact on the 
occasion of its 30th anniversary and commend its members for 
their endeavors on behalf of all Texas citizens; and, be it 
further

	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 
Texas Impact as a memento of its 30th anniversary.
