SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1054

	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to 
recognize God's Leading Ladies Conference graduates on the 
occasion of their graduation ceremony on June 6, 2003; and

	WHEREAS, The graduates have completed the Potter's House 
God's Leading Ladies Life Enrichment program, which is under the 
direction of the Woman to Woman Ministries of Serita Jakes; and

	WHEREAS, The program provides women the opportunity to 
develop and use their talents by teaching them how to gain 
greater spiritual strength and self-awareness, how to live a 
successful and productive life, and how to build enriching 
relationships; the participants also have the opportunity to 
hear inspirational messages from Bishop T. D. Jakes, Andria Hall, 
a former Cable News Network anchorwoman, and other notable 
members of the community; and

	WHEREAS, The women who have successfully completed the 
program have gained significant knowledge and insight into 
living their lives with greater personal, professional, and 
spiritual purpose; and

	WHEREAS, Upon their graduation, these women embark on a new 
direction in life, and they will be a source of strength to many 
in the community; now, therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
78th Legislature, hereby congratulate the God's Leading Ladies 
Conference graduates and extend best wishes to them for the 
future; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 
this outstanding group of women as an expression of esteem from 
the Texas Senate.
