Fiscal Analysis
The bill would create a permanent fund for veterans' care in the state treasury outside of the general revenue fund.
Methodology
If passed, the bill would transfer $150 million from the general revenue fund to the permanent fund for veterans' care.
Local Government Impact
No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated. If bill passes, local governments could receive grant money provided from the veterans' care fund to address veterans' health care needs.
