HB111 by Chavez (Relating to responsibility for payment for transport by ambulance of a recipient of medical assistance in certain circumstances.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. 

The bill would place the burden for payment of un-authorized transports of recipients of medical assistance by ambulance on the provider (physician, nursing facility, health care provider, or other responsible party) that requested the service.

 

The Texas Department of Health reported that the bill would not result in new costs to the department.


Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
