HB272 by Naishtat (Relating to training regarding sexual assault for a judge or judicial officer.), As Introduced

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Government Code, Chapter 22 relating to the curriculum of judicial education programs for district judges, statutory county judges, associate judges, and family law judicial officers.  The bill would require the programs to provide two hours of training on sexual assault, without a change in the overall hours of training the programs must provide.  The bill would take immediate effect if it receives the vote of two-thirds of the members of each house.  Otherwise, the bill would take effect September 1, 2003.
