HB275 by Keel (Relating to the prosecution of theft of service.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Penal Code by clarifying the conditions that must be met for the offense of theft of services regarding the failure to return property held under a rental agreement.  The Texas Department of Criminal Justice has determined that the cost of implementing the provisions of this bill would not be significant. 

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
