FROM:
John Keel, Director, Legislative Budget Board
IN RE:
HB320 by Grusendorf (Relating to the refusal to administer or consent to the administration of certain psychiatric or psychological treatment to a child.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would exempt from the definition of neglect refusal to consent to psychiatric or psychological treatment of a child if there is no imminent risk of serious harm to a child. The Department of Protective and Regulatory Services indicates that compliance with the bill would involve revision to current written materials and training to staff but that these costs could be absorbed within existing agency resources.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
