No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure regarding the admissibility of testimony and statements in a capital case other than a capital case in which the attorney representing the state has notified the court in writing or in open court that the state will not seek the death penalty.  It is assumed that implementation of the bill would not have a significant impact on the costs of state government. 

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
