No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would remove provisions requiring confidentiality of information and materials compiled by a committee in connection with a complaint and investigation of the following professions: speech-language pathologists, audiologists, hearing instrument fitters and dispensers, athletic trainers, marriage and family therapists, licensed professional counselors, social workers, medical physicists, perfusionists, orthotists and prosthetists, and dietitians. The bill would delete similar provisions related to complaints and investigations by sex offender treatment provider licensing or disciplinary boards. The bill would delete exceptions to the confidentiality of materials relating to complaints or investigations relating to hospitals and mental hospitals including disclosure for the purpose of inspections or investigation by state or federal agencies.
