No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the definition in the Health and Safety Code, which defines conditions that constitute a public health nuisance.  The bill amends the definition of a collection of water as a public health nuisance to include collections of water that are a breeding area for Culex quinquefasciatus mosquitoes that can transmit diseases regardless of the collection’s location.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
