No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Section 37.007, Education Code by adding a provision to clarify that the school district in which the student attends school retains the authority to expel a student for conduct that occurs on the school property of another Texas school district or while attending a school-sponsored or school-related activity or a school in another Texas school district.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
