No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would require the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and the Texas Youth Commission to take blood samples or specimens for the purpose of creating DNA records for persons convicted of, or adjudicated for, the offense of capital murder. The Texas Department of Criminal Justice and the Texas Youth Commission have determined that the cost of implementing the provisions of this bill would not be significant.
