LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 78TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

February 12, 2003

TO:
Honorable Mike Krusee, Chair, House Committee on Transportation

FROM:
John Keel, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB571 by Morrison (Relating to special license plates benefiting the Daughters of the Republic of Texas.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Transportation Code to authorize the Texas Department of Transportation to issue specially designed license plates for passenger cars and light trucks that include the words "Daughters of the Republic of Texas".

Because the legislation would create a dedicated account in the General Revenue Fund, the account included in this bill would be subject to funds consolidation review by the current legislature.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
