No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would revise Section 152.015(b) and (d), Local Government Code, to allow a county judge to select names of alternates for public members to serve on the county's committee to review salaries and expenses of elected county and precinct officers. The selection process would be the same as for selecting the primary public members and would occur at the same time as selections for members. The bill would take effect September 1, 2003.
