FROM: | John Keel, Director, Legislative Budget Board |
IN RE: | HB649 by Keffer, Jim (Relating to creating an interagency work group on rural issues.), As Introduced |
The provisions of the bill adds eleven agency representatives to the current twelve to discuss rural issues. It also requires that each representative provide information showing the impact each agency has on rural communities for use in developing rural policy and compiling an annual report. The provisions of the bill also creates an interagency workgroup allowing agencies to work together on rural community issues at the call of the Executive Director of the Office of Rural Community Affairs.
It is assumed that some additional travel costs would be incurred for some of the added eleven agencies but it is not anticipated to be significant.
