No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend Government Code, Chapter 25 relating to a motion for recusal or disqualification of a statutory probate court judge. The bill would allow a presiding judge of statutory probate court to request that the presiding judge of the administrative judicial region designate a judge to hear such motions. The bill would take effect September 1, 2003.
