No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Transportation Code as it relates to the punishment for the offense of reckless driving.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated. The cities of Houston and Sherman and Collin, Denton, Fort Bend, and Wise counties reported that implementation of the bill would result in minimal costs that could be absorbed within existing budgets.
