No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code to include nonprofit hospitals in the definition of those hospitals and hospital districts eligible to obtain criminal history record information. The bill would not significantly affect the operations of state government.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.  Cities and counties that operate nonprofit hospitals would incur minimal costs to obtain the criminal history records.
