No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Penal Code by adding to the conditions that comprise the offense of interference with an emergency telephone call.The offense of interference with an emergency telephone call is punishable as a Class A misdemeanor, except that the offense is a state jail felony if the actor has previous convictions for such offenses. It is assumed that the bill would not significantly affect the operations of state or local government.
