No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Civil Practice and Remedies Code, Chapter 83 to limit the liability of a person for certain damages arising out of the person's use of force.  The bill would preclude liability for personal injury or death arising out of a person’s use of force provided such use of force is justified under Chapter 9 of the Penal Code. The bill would take effect September 1, 2003.
