IN RE: | HB912 by Madden (Relating to the distribution of school district employment policies to teachers employed under term contracts.), As Introduced |
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
School districts may achieve savings associated with reduced printing costs under this bill. If it is assumed that this bill would result in eliminate the printing of an average of 5-10 pages of material per teacher statewide, the associated savings would range from about $30,000 - $60,000 annually. However, anecdotal evidence suggests that some districts have already realized reduced printing costs by distributing employment policies via electronic means. Because there is no statewide data concerning the number of districts that meet the current requirement via electronic distribution, the actual savings that might be realized under this bill on a statewide basis is unknown.
