HB943 by Krusee (Relating to vehicles eligible for conservation license plates supporting the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Transportation Code to expand the types of vehicles eligible for specially designed conservation license plates to include passenger cars and light trucks; travel trailers; motor homes; farm tractors and trailers; truck-tractors; semi-trailers; commercial motor vehicles; and other like vehicles.  The bill would require applicants to submit a $25 annual fee in addition to other registration fees.  The bill would require $5 to be deposited to the credit of the State Highway Fund and $20 to be deposited to the credit of General Revenue dedicated account 5004 – Parks and Wildlife Conservation and Capital to be used by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for the purposes of the account. 

 

No significant fiscal implication is anticipated due to the estimated number of license plate issuances.

 

The bill would take effect September 1, 2003.
