No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would delete provisions providing for the adoption of a child by a step parent in circumstances where the parent-child relationship has been terminated with respect to one parent. The Department of Protective and Regulatory Services indicates that the proposal would not impact its caseload.
