FROM: | John Keel, Director, Legislative Budget Board |
IN RE: | HB982 by Talton (Relating to the authority of a peace officer to make a warrantless arrest when a person confesses to committing a felony.), As Introduced |
The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure by establishing conditions that would allow a peace officer to make an arrest of a person without obtaining a warrant. It is assumed that this bill would not significantly affect the fiscal operations of state government.
