LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 78TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

May 27, 2003

TO:
Honorable Tom Craddick, Speaker of the House, House of Representatives

FROM:
John Keel, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB1020 by Villarreal (Relating to the promotion of dependent care benefits for employees. ), As Passed 2nd House

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) indicates one staff person would be dedicated to the project required by the provisions of the bill; however, the staff person would not affect the agency's total full-time equivalent cap.

No significant fiscal implication is anticipated due to the assumption that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing provisions of the bill could be accomplished by TWC utilizing existing resources.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
