No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure as it relates to the authority of a judge or justice to defer the proceedings in certain criminal cases involving the operation of a motor vehicle by the holder of a commercial driver's license.

 

The bill would take effect September 1, 2003.
