No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Civil Practice and Remedies Code, Section 30.003 to make a legislative continuance available to a member-elect of the legislature. The bill would take immediate effect if it receives a two-thirds vote of all the members elected to each house. Otherwise, the bill would take effect September 1, 2003

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
