HB1116 by Keffer, Jim (Relating to the acquisition of interest in private roads by certain counties.), As Introduced

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would repeal Chapter 281, Transportation Code. Repealing the chapter would remove authority from counties with a population of 50,000 or less from acquiring public interest in private roads.

 

The bill would take effect immediately if it receives two-thirds vote in each house; otherwise, it would take effect September 1, 2003.


Local Government Impact

According to the Texas Association of Counties, no significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
