HB1146 by Dutton (Relating to a limitation on audits of an open-enrollment charter school.), As Introduced

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

This bill would limit the number of audits of an open-enrollment charter school to no more than one audit of financial records and no more than one audit of administrative records during any fiscal year unless the commissioner of education has specific cause to conduct an audit.  The bill would specify that an audit of a charter holder or management company is not considered an audit of the school.

 

This bill would take effect September 1, 2003.
