TO:
Honorable Rick Hardcastle, Chair, House Committee on Agriculture & Livestock

IN RE:
HB1148 by Miller (Relating to authorizing a temporary wind up permit for a concentrated animal feeding operation the permit for which has not been renewed or has been revoked.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) to issue a temporary concentrated animal feeding operation wind up permit to a person whose permit has not been renewed or has been revoked. The Commission reports that it has only revoked one concentrated animal feeding operation permit in the past five years.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
