The bill adds Sections 2054.255 and 2054.256 to the Government Code relating to the on-line information needs and requirements of licensing agencies and their license holders.Section 2054.255 (a) allows a person regulated by one or more licensing agencies to file a single change of address on-line with the Department of Information Resources and (b) provides for expansion to include additional categories of updated information that license holders may need to provide to more than one licensing authority.Section 2054.256 allows for electronic sharing regarding license holders, especially information regarding disciplinary information, with other licensing authorities to the extent if feasibility, allowed by law, under appropriate controls for privacy, security, accuracy, and confidentiality.The Act takes effect September 1, 2003.
