No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would authorize a school district board of trustees to conduct a closed meeting to deliberate a matter regarding a public school student when personally identifiable information about the student would necessarily be revealed. The bill would authorize such deliberation to occur in an open meeting, if requested in writing by the student's parent or guardian. The bill would define directory information and clarify the application of "do not release" requests.
