No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would authorize, upon approval by the commissioners court, certain hospital districts to issue certificates of obligation for district purposes. The bill would take effect September 1, 2003.

Local Government Impact

The provisions of the bill would provide another mechanism for funding hospital district needs in districts located in counties with a population of at least 190,000.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
