HB1242 by Homer (Relating to insurance for lottery sales agents and contractors to cover the theft or loss of certain lottery tickets.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Chapter 446, Government Code by adding Section 466.26 requiring the Lottery Commission to provide loss insurance for scratch-off or other instant-win tickets for sales agents or lottery vendors who produce, store, distribute, tranport or sell lottery tickets.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2003.

The Lottery Commission indicates it could implement the provisions of the bill within current resources.
