HB1296 by Noriega (Relating to small business development programs of navigation districts and port authorities.), As Engrossed

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require navigation districts and port authorities when seeking bids for purchases or contracts to indicate whether a small business development program adopted by the port commission or navigation district applies to the purchase and, if so, where a copy of the program requirements may be obtained.

The bill would take effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds in each house; otherwise, it would take effect September 1, 2003.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
