No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend Section 6, Chapter 426, Acts of the Forty-fifth Legislature, Regular Session, 1937, to require the Governor instead of the State Board of Water Engineers to appoint members of the board of directors of the San Jacinto River Authority. The bill would take effect September 1, 2003.
Local Government Impact
Because the bill would not have statewide impact on units of local government of the same type or class, no comment from this office is required by the rules of the House as to its probable fiscal implication on units of local government.
