No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code to state that each local or interjurisdictional agency shall conduct at least one public meeting each calendar year to exchange information about its emergency management plan. Each agency would provide written notice of the date, time, and location of the meeting, not later than the fifth day before the meeting, to the pipeline safety section of the gas services division of the Railroad Commission of Texas.

 

This bill would take effect September 1, 2003.
