IN RE:
HB1634 by Hilderbran (Relating to the abilty of a court to maintain jurisdiction over a person on community supervision who absconds.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure by allowing a court to maintain jurisdiction over a person placed on community supervision who absconds.  The bill would also define due diligence requirements.  The Office of the Attorney General and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice anticipates any work resulting from the passage of this bill could be absorbed with current services.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
