HB1713 by Hodge (Relating to an application for a writ of habeas corpus to seek relief related to community supervision.), As Introduced

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure to provide procedures for an application for a writ of habeas corpus in those cases in which community supervision has been ordered.  The bill would take immediate effect if the bill receives the vote of two-thirds the members of each house.  Otherwise, the bill would take effect September 1, 2003.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
