No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend Section 2002.052 of the Occupations Code to require a qualified nonprofit organization to set a date to award the prize or prizes in a raffle. The organization must offer to refund the amount paid for each raffle ticket if the prize or prizes are not awarded on the date originally set or within 30 days from the date originally set.
