IN RE:	HB1878 by Dutton (Relating  to the establishment of paternity and the establishment and enforcement of child support and medical support for a child.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would make numerous changes to the Family Code relative to establishment and enforcement of child support and medical support such as requiring a court to order medical support in an interstate case, prohibiting the attachment of a lien to the disposable earnings of an obligor,  providing for withholding from workers' compensation, and requiring that hearings on nonagreed child support review orders be held only upon timely request. The Office of the Attorney General indicates no significant impact on its workload.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
