HB1899 by Nixon (Relating to the prevention of the international abduction of a child by a parent of the child.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would provide for measures that a court may take to protect a child from the risk of abduction by a parent. The bill provides for abduction risk factors. The bill would apply to pending suits at trial court at the effective date and suits filed on or after such date. The bill would take effect immediately upon two-thirds vote of each house or September 1, 2003. The bill would not have a significant impact on the state budget.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
