LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 78TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

April 17, 2003

TO:
Honorable Robert Talton, Chair, House Committee on Urban Affairs

FROM:
John Keel, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB1901 by Farrar (Relating to administrative procedures in certain municipalities for adjudicating violations of ordinances relating to information filed with building permits.), As Introduced

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would add to the Local Government Code a section relating to administrative adjudication in a municipality with a population of more than 1.8 million of ordinances relating to information filed with building permits. Currently, only the City of Houston has a population of more than 1.8 million.

Local Government Impact

Because the bill would not have statewide impact on units of local government of the same type or class, no comment from this office is required by the rules of the House/Senate as to its probable fiscal implication on units of local government.
