No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code to create Texas memorial medal of valor awards for peace officers, firefighters, and emergency medical first responders who are killed or sustain serious or fatal injuries in the line of duty.  Additionally, the bill would create three advisory committees to advise the Governor.  Members of the committees would receive no compensation for service on the committee or reimbursement for travel expenses incurred while conducting the business of the committee.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
