No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Government Code to allow courts, at the direction of community supervision and corrections department officers, to require persons on community supervision for family violence to attend battering intervention and prevention programs.The bill would also specify the adoption of program guidelines and an accreditation process for battering intervention and prevention services.The Texas Department of Criminal Justice does not anticipate a significant fiscal impact from this proposal.
