HB2019 by Griggs (Relating to the creation of a state advisory council with authority to promote research, education, treatment, and support activities related to persons with traumatic brain injuries.), As Passed 2nd House

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would create the Texas Traumatic Brain Injury Advisory Council within the Department of Health (TDH). The Council would be composed of 20 members. The public consumer members shall receive travel reimbursement if money is available in the Traumatic Brain Injury Advisory Council account. The members representing state agencies may be reimbursed for travel expenses by the respective agency. The Council would be required to meet once per calendar quarter. TDH would be required to provide administrative support; however, this function could be performed using existing resources.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
