IN RE:
HB2072 by Grusendorf (Relating to payment by teachers for missing textbooks in public schools.), As Passed 2nd House

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The provision prohibiting school districts from charging employees for lost textbooks or instructional technology has no direct impact on textbook or other costs borne by the state.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.  To the extent that districts currently charge employees for stolen, misplaced or unreturned textbooks or instructional technology, they may incur small costs as a result of the bill.  These costs are not expected to be significant.
